At Disha it’s our constant endeavour to identify future destinations of growth. In the past, we have identified many such destinations and locations like Talegaon, Wada, Murbad, Shahapur, Karjat etc which are showing exponential growth in last few years. These locations have become sought after destinations for second homes and land investments and few destinations like Talegaon, Karjat and Shahapur have emerged as first home destinations giving multifold returns to buyers and investors who have invested in these locations few years back.
Alibaug, a small coastal town on Mumbai Goa highway is one such location where we see tremendous potential for future development and growth. A comfortable 2 hours drive (90 kms) passing through lush green forests and mesmerizing scenic views along the way. You can reach Alibaug via water transport from the Gateway of India. The catamaran service is available throughout the day which takes 45 minutes to reach Mandwa jetty at Alibaug . If you take a speed boat it takes around 15 to 20 minutes to reach Mandwa. With 11 beautiful beaches between Mandwa and Murud , Alibaug is known as mini Goa of Maharashtra. Few of the famous beaches are Mandwa, Kihim, Nagaon, Akshi and Murud where water sports facilities are available. It’s also famous for historical monuments, forts and temples. No wonder Alibaug has become major tourist attraction and favourite holiday destination for Mumbailars. Due to proximity to Mumbai via road and water Alibaug is preferred destination for filmstars, industrialists and celebrities and known as land of sun, sand and peace.
But now this small town is emerging as a future growth centre. Many infrastructure projects are in process to transform this small town to a major investment hub. Work for a 4 lanes Mumbai Goa highway has started and is scheduled to be completed by 2014. This will reduce travel time from Mumbai to Alibaug substantially. The proposed Shivdi – Nhavasheva link road will further reduce travel time between these two places. Two big ports are being developed at Dighi and Rewas giving major economic boost to this region. A dedicated rail freight corridor is being planned between Delhi and Rewas. Technical feasibility is being done for non-stop 80 kms multimodal corridor from Virar to Alibaug. All weather car carrier boats will soon start ferrying from Gateway to Mandwa.
All these developments would help Alibaug to emerge as next growth centre and investment destination near Mumbai. In last few years many developers and industrial houses have bought large parcels of lands in Alibaug region to develop integrated townships. Healthcare and Educational institutes, leisure industry are also looking at Alibaug for their next plan of expansion.
We have done research on these developments and understood the potential of Alibaug. Keeping our tradition of identifying future destinations, we have launched many projects in Alibaug in last 2 years. Bay Vista, Bay Woods, Bay Blue and Pallazo. All these project received very good response and customers have got good appreciation in these projects. We will be launching one of our most ambitious project, Cidade Vida at Alibaug. It will be the fist Township in Alibaug spread over 30 acres and it is based on Goan architecture and culture where we intend to develop a small Goan village with all features and flavours of Goa. Cidade Vida will change the real estate scenario of Alibaug. We are launching few more projects from budget apartment to luxury appartments and villas in near future and all these projects are targeted at different customers and investor segments.
